MAGIC SHELL YOGURT BOWLS

Or as my kids like to call them, smash chocolate bowls. Which is honestly a better name. I went searching for fun breakfast ideas to change it up over March break and these were perfect. This is a basic version but you can add anything into the base you want to pack in more nutrition. Once it’s under a layer of chocolate they won’t even notice!

YOGURT BOWL BASE:
Plain Greek yogurt
Hemp hearts
Berries
Mixed nut butter

CHOCOLATE MAGIC SHELL:
Dark chocolate chips
1-2 tsp coconut oil (for melting)

DIRECTIONS:
Mix base ingredients together in a small bowl.
Melt dark chocolate and coconut oil in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds to prevent burning.
Top each bowl with a thin layer of melted chocolate.
Freeze for 5-10 minutes and enjoy!

Ahhh greens powders. I get asked this question by clients all the time, so I figured I would post a clip from the email response I sent a client.

I don’t think greens powders are “bad” - I just think that a highly processed food will never be comparable to whole plant foods, and they definitely give a false sense of security that people can eat a diet limited in plant foods and just make up for it with a supplement.

Life has never been busier and I am (clearly) struggling to show up regularly on this account. This year my goal is just to post to provide any benefit I can. I’m not going to worry about making it pretty or how to present it, I’ll just try and pass along valuable nutrition advice in an easy to digest way. Happy new year!
